Needed: Personal care items
Leigh's Pantry at Mountain Resource Center is in need of personal care items, including toilet paper, and cleaning supplies such as paper towels, dish and dishwasher detergent, and laundry soap. Many of our clients are on SNAP, the food assistance program, which does not allow for the purchase of non-food items. Providing these types of items enables families to use their limited resources for heating, housing or transportation costs.
Thanks for your donations this holiday season!
Make a child's holiday: Donate a gift!
Mountain Resource Center's Annual Client Holiday Party provides a festive atmosphere for children to celebrate the season and provides parents, grandparents or guardians the opportunity to secretly shop for gifts for their children, enabling them to give gifts with dignity.
Thanks to the generosity of the mountain community, local churches, non-profit organizations and businesses, Mountain Resource Center was able to support 118 families at the 2015 Client Holiday Party, providing approximately 900 gifts to nearly 300 children!
Donations of new, unwrapped gifts can be dropped off at the Mountain Resource Center during regular business hours, or at the gift collection boxes located inside Big R, On The Move Fitness, Blue Spruce Toys and Look What I Found. Please drop off donations by December 14.
