Our partners at Climb For The Kids just raised almost $10,000 for us last month to purchase a new Action Trackchair for Staunton's groundbreaking Track Chair Program, but we need another $5,000 to get the rest of the way there which we'd love to do before year end. This past summer after our Annual Mark Madsen Accessibility Celebration, we raised enough to be able to buy a 4th trackchair and the park put it into use right away - during the 2019 Track Chair Program, over 250 people with disabilities were able to borrow these trackchairs for free and go hiking and/or fishing with friends and family at Staunton, putting smiles on many faces!

We're also kicking off our next keystone project: Restoration of Staunton's Historic Cabins! There are 7 historic buildings within Staunton and a few of them are in pretty bad shape (one has a partially collapsed roof that we are trying to get temporarily patched now before anymore snow/rain damages the interior). A preliminary bid on starting work on just one building was $400,000 so we'll be applying for as many grants as we can get, but we'll need generous donations from those who care about preserving our local history as well. Stay tuned for more details as we go along in this process.
