Leadership Evergreen Interviewing for 2020/2021 Board of Directors Positions

Mountain Community Leaders,

If you care about the Mountain Community and are interested in developing leaders to improve our community, please consider serving on the Leadership Evergreen (LE) Board of Directors. We are now interviewing for positions available for the 2020/2021 board and would love to talk to you!

RESPONSIBILITIES OF A BOARD MEMBER:

Participate in Monthly Board Meetings - currently scheduled the fourth Wednesday of each month from 5:30pm-7:30 with a light dinner provided.

Serve on a Committee - currently the standing committees are Administrative & Operations, Finance, Marketing & Communications and Program. Committee meetings may be scheduled within the monthly Board Meeting times and/or meet at another date/time.

Assist in the recruitment and selection of biannual Class Members.

Plan and deliver three leadership modules as the lead, secondary and tertiary team member.

Vision Statement: Leadership Evergreen’s Vision is to develop vibrant, aware and active local leaders for the betterment of our mountain community.

Mission Statement: Leadership Evergreen offers participants opportunities to learn from and interact with our community, leaders and organizations to enhance and strengthen their leadership abilities with the goal of addressing issues that impact our mountain communities.

The Size of the Board: The Board of Directors shall consist of not less than seven (7) and not more than fourteen (14) Directors. The number of Directors may be fixed or changed from time to time within the range by the voting members of the Board of Directors. Directors shall serve a term of two years. Directors may be elected for up to four successive two-year terms. Eligibility for adding additional terms will be determined by the Board after the Director has been off the Board for at least one year. The terms of half of the Board of Directors shall be staggered.
