September News and Events at Aspen Peak Cellars

04 Sep 2020 13:38 #1 by Cellar Master
Dear Winery Friends,

Hard to believe we are approaching September already and after a hot and dry month, the Colorado grape vines appear to produce an early crop. First harvest is already in the books, we received our Chardonnay last week and were able to crush it on Saturday. The numbers were perfect, coming in at 20 brix of sugar and 3.2PH, exactly what we are looking for to produce our Brut, Blanc de Blancs, sparkling wine. Viognier and Syrah are coming in possibly early next week.

This also means we will need our crush pad to process grapes, instead of bottles. So we will suspend our extremely popular recycling program and put the sand production on the back burner for a few months. Please hold your bottles or send them to traditional recycling at this time, until we resume our program in the Spring. We sincerely thank everyone who brought us glass to produce the awesome #baileybeach this Summer and we hope to come up with some more exciting projects next year. If you know of any, please let us know.

This upcoming month, we will continue with our social distancing dine-in as well as take-out food and wine service along with our Rockin' Rapids live music series on Saturdays and Sundays, 2-5pm. We appreciate all of you patrons who follow the guidelines for restaurants to operate under current restrictions and wear a mask while not seated on the premises. Please call ahead to reserve a table, especially on weekends. We also like to take a moment and thank our amazing staff who are going above and beyond with masks on their faces all day long, serving our extended patio and new beach area in the Summer heat. We are grateful for all of you and hope you all stay healthy Team APC!

Due to the covid restrictions, we will not hold our annual Foot Stomp. End of September we will collaborate with Mad Jack's Mountain Brewery to celebrate Bailey Oktoberfest. Pretzels and Veal or homemade Pork Brat Specials all weekend. Make sure to stop in for lunch during your Fall leaf viewing drives.

As far as upcoming events, we will welcome The Jazz Partners to the barrel stage on September 11th, 6:30-9:30pm, for another edition of LoBay Jazz & Tapas Night. Seats are limited, please make your reservations soon to guarantee a spot. $10/person cover charge will get you a table for the evening.

Our entire menu is also available for take-out in case you are not ready to dine in restaurants. We activated an E-Gift Card purchasing program for you to redeem in our take-out ordering system or at any visit to the winery in Bailey. This makes a great gift for any occasion, simply send it to a friend by entering their email at time of purchase. You can also track your remaining card balances anytime.

Make it a successful month, stay healthy and we will see you in Bailey soon.

Cheers!
