Dear Winery Friends,
Our guess is no one is opposed to having this interesting year come to an end. It is time to say thank you for your loyal patronage and complying with the constantly changing rules and guidelines for us to stay in business throughout the year. Even though running an establishment in the food service industry has been challenging this year, our team has been nothing less than exceptional, making weekly adjustments and tackling the latest updates to the regulations in order to provide you with the best products and services possible. We are very grateful for all and will show our appreciation with a week of vacation for the entire crew between Christmas and New Year, no matter what color on the dial. They deserve some quality family time and rest to enter a promising 2021.
Until then, we will continue indoor as well as take-out dining and have plenty more activity planned, all depending on the current capacity restrictions for restaurants. We are hopeful to host all planned events as scheduled, please know that any dinners could be canceled or modified at any time.
First off, this Wednesday, we will officially release our next Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, our biggest, boldest Cabernet yet. It is a blend of 2019 Lodi, California and Colorado grapes, aged about a year in American and French oak. The aromas feature dark fruit and berries, the palate offers flavors of jammy berries and baking spice, accompanied by well balanced acidity and rounded tannins. $25/bottle.
This upcoming weekend, Friday, 12/4 and Saturday, 12/5, we will hold our Holiday Wine Club Dinners at 25% capacity, only a few tickets still available for both nights, with a change in entertainment on Friday, as Melanie Fernandi will step in for Jenny Shawhan. We have also opened a pickup option for these dinners with wine selections for both nights, so you can enjoy the goodies in the comfort of your home. Please make your reservations soon, or let us know if you feel more comfortable to switch your current reservation to this take-out option, so we can plan accordingly.
Bailey Cowboy Christmas is also on Saturday, 12/5/20 and we offer free Gluehwein samples for anyone browsing our gift shop during the day. Congratulations to Kris and Glen Ellis for receiving the G.R.A.C.I.E. award this year, stands for (Giving, Resourceful, Admirable, Caring, Involved, Exceptional), a well deserved recognition by the Platte Canyon Chamber of Commerce for countless hours of community service over many years.
On Saturday, 12/19/20, we will welcome Floodgate Operators from Crested Butte, for an evening of fast paced Bluegrass picking along with a selection of comfort food small plates. Limited seating available, reserve your table soon (first come first serve), $10/person band cover charge applies, but will not be charged until your table is confirmed by phone.
Rockin' Rapids music series continues every Saturday and Sunday afternoon from 2-5pm. A big thank you to all musicians who are still out and about, bringing a feel of some normalcy to our operations, you rock!
