We did our annual tradition of going to a hibachi grill for lunch - started when I was a kid - dad always had to work half a day, so we'd join him downtown, walk around to see the lights and huge train display at [now] Duke Energy, then hit The Samurai [before Benihana bought it]. We're always so stuffed after that, that we go home and just graze on snacks the rest of the day.
Prime rib, mashed potatoes, green beans with garlic and tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms, and rolls for Christmas dinner. The best part was having family in town!
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
