Salt something to think about

I love to cook an long ago we switched to sea salt.

This Christmas hubby bought me a selection of gourmet salts (one was black truffle) and all I can say is yum!!!

These salts have so much flavor I use way less than what I would of using typical table salt not to mention they have better mineral count.

I say toss away the table salt and move to sea salt but also try some of those fancy salts you will not reget it.

Good idea, I like sea salt products too. I use onion and garlic salts as alternatives too.

If you like to spice things up try jalapeno salt, we bought some from a guy in Grand Junction one is a mild blend but the other is quite spicy.

They make good rubs and use them in chili to give it a kick.

What did you use the truffle salt on? I use Kosher salt for a lot of day to day stuff and sea salt at the table.

I use it in egg dishes and the other night we made garlic mashed potatoes and I put it in them.

A few weeks back I made a fish dish off the Internet with it. I actually was looking on the Internet for recipes that use the truffle salt when I found the fish recipe.

In my basket of salts I also got Fleur de Sel, Himalayan Pink and a Cyprus Black Lava so I have trying new things with all of them.

Just remember to not use only sea salt in your diet. It does not have iodine in it, and that is needed in human diets.

I love kosher salt.

The best salt in the world is natural salt, not iodized. It is much more wonderful than iodized. I tried sea salt and cannot stand it. The taste is horrible.
