Recipe searches on Google will get a makeover today, with a new set of tools.
Google serves up over 10 million recipe searches on an average day, but it can be a goose-chase experience, with thousands of results returned for any given search terms.
Starting today, Google's "Recipe View" debuts, with an eye to streamlining the process: A "recipes" tab, much like the sites "images" tab or "blogs" tab. Click on it, and your search for "birthday cake" will narrow to just birthday cake recipes, filtering out birthday cake vendors or funny videos of cats wearing birthday cake hats). Google will also offer extra toggles designed to narrow searches by ingredients, preparation time, and calorie count.
Google's Recipe View rolls out live today, starting at 10 a.m. MT.
