24-40 hour/week Evening Shelter Advocate
for nonprofit rural domestic violence women and children shelter.
Duties include: Working with domestic violence and conflict resolution situations; provide crisis intervention by phone and in person; individual client intakes/assessments; safety planning; case management and advocacy/counseling; group facilitation; office work and accurate grant documentation. Effectively use empowerment model to assist clients in achieving greater safety and self-sufficiency. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Ability to function independently and as a team member. Must exhibit a positive attitude. :hugegrin:
Bachelors degree in human services related field and/or minimum 2 years experience. $14/hr.
