The South Park Chamber is seeking a part-time administrative director. This is a home-based, contract position, averaging about 10-20 hours per week. Some weeks will be less, but others may require more as project deadlines approach. The actual schedule can be very flexible, as long as the work gets done in a timely manner.
This position is primarily administrative: managing correspondence, maintaining membership lists, and accounting/invoicing. It may also involve grant writing/administration, and will definitely involve research into appropriate funding grants for the Chamber. This person will also be instrumental in helping set up Chamber mixers, special events, maintaining a social media presence, etc., and will also have a hand in designing Chamber newsletters and brochures.
Candidates MUST be very self-motivated and able to accomplish tasks with little supervision. Extremely strong administrative skills (Word/Excel/Powerpoint will be critical) and a STRONG working knowledge of Quickbooks is required. A background in grant writing and social media would also be helpful.
This position reports to the Chamber Board, so the ability to work with many different personalities is also key. We would like to find someone willing to help us grow the Chamber into a more effective organization for promoting business growth and tourism in South Park. Attendance at monthly board meetings is required. PLEASE NOTE--THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION. Although most work will be done from home, we do need someone who can check the P.O. Box 2-3 times per week, handle banking transactions, attend meetings--including occasional ones that pop up with little to no warning (if you are available), etc.
