Brooks Place Tavern is currently searching for the ideal person to join our winning team, as Executive Chef. Brooks Place has successfully served the mountain community since the fall of 2010, providing outstanding food, beverage and service to our valued guests. Serving lunch and dinner seven days a week, we are a high volume restaurant with a full service bar located in Conifer. Brooks Place Tavern is a family owned business with the owners taking an active role in running the day to day operations.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications~

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills that enhance relationships with existing kitchen team; owners; management and front of the house staff as well as sales representatives for food and beverage
• Culinary skills that include menu development; execution of menu items; butchering meats and fish; specials and special menus; smoking meats
• 2 to 3 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef, with proven leadership
• Capacity to teach and mentor line and prep cooks to work to established expectations as well as encourage their growth to advance within the company
• Ability to work with owners and sous chefs to keep food costs in line with expectations and to control inventory
• Knowledge of craft beer and wines that allow for successful events such as beer or wine pairing dinners
