Summary
The Account Manager is responsible for selling building materials to contractors, DIYers, and professional home builders. The ideal candidate will be able to successfully achieve sales objectives, offer superior service, provide high product knowledge, grow existing accounts, develop new customers, and increase market share.
Primary Duties
Work with contractors to create positive relationships that result in lasting partnerships
Generate enthusiasm for our products by presenting their features, benefits and advantages
Conduct presentations and provide information based on clients’ needs
Coordinate with management and sales team to identify strategies, schedule jobs, and share new business practices
Measure jobs in the field and off blueprints, process bids, and follow up on leads
Stay current with trends in the building industry, and represent company at tradeshows and professional associations
Maintain customer relationship management database
Participate in on-going product and sales training programs
Preferred Qualifications
Lumber & Building materials sales experience
Superior written and verbal communication skills, as well as solid time management and organizational capabilities
A strong work ethic and high level of integrity
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and accurately estimate a broad range of projects
Extensive knowledge of building materials, the construction industry, and government regulations
Experience in reading blueprints and performing take-offs
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required
Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Effective problem solving talents
Compensation
This full-time position pays commensurate with education and experience. We offer a base + commission salary structure, & our most successful Account Managers can exceed a six figure income. Moore Lumber & Hardware offers an extensive benefits package for full time employees
