The Friends of Mount Evans & Lost Creek Wildernesses is losing our incredible Chairman Matt Komos, who has taken a job in Chicago.
The Board is looking to fill the volunteer vacancy with a leader who is passionate and committed to protecting and preserving Mount Evans and Lost Creek Wildernesses.
The Volunteer Chairman is the key management leader of FOMELC and must be a member of the Organization. The Chairman is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs and strategic plan of the organization. Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. The position serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
FOMELC MISSION STATEMENT:
The Mount Evans and Lost Creek Wildernesses encompass 194,400 acres with over 170 miles of trails in Colorado's Pike and Arapaho National Forests.
We work in partnership with the US Forest Service, engaging in education, outreach and stewardship activities to preserve the wilderness character of these lands for current and future generations.
