Job Description
GENERAL DUTIES:
Provide Excellent Customer Service to Membership, Internally and to Public Visitors
Communications: Written, Electronic, Website, Social Media & Interpersonal
Marketing: Design, Plan and Create Marketing/Advertising for: Chamber, Members & Events
Clerical: Organization of marketing materials
Office Administrative Assistant: Fill in for Operations Manager
The MARKETING/COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER will report directly to the President and will also provide general office support to office staff, members and visitors. This position requires superb communications skills and computer experience a must; website development experience, social media experience, email marketing experience, design skills, nonprofit experience, and event planning/fundraising a plus. Multitasking, self-motivated, and creative abilities are a must; as well as energetic, enthusiastic, a team-player and friendly personality.

Customer Service Duties/Expectations:
Phone Reception
Assist Members, Staff, Board of Directors, Visitors
Understanding of Membership Benefits
Awareness/Understanding of Website
Awareness of Community Calendar/Events/Local Landmarks
Understanding of Visitor Center
Marketing/Communications:
Oversee all EACC Communications
Public Relations: press releases & newspaper submissions
Public Relations: create and maintain good relationships with our business members
Design Printed Materials: ads, flyers, posters, brochures, event programs, etc.
Website Maintenance/Updates – pages, documents, content
Webpage Creation/Origination for Signature Events, Newsletter and any new features that are identified
Weekly Newsblast/Monthly Newsletter: writing, design, compilation & distribution
Social Media Management/Administration & Design: Facebook, LinkedIN, Twitter, Hootsuite, etc. --Continuing education on all social platforms
Submit Upcoming Events to Local Publications via other website calendars
Organize/Assist/Design/Present: Chamber Educational Workshops, Member Benefits Meetings, etc.
Attend Meetings/Advertising Appointments for Chamber President Upon Request
Serve on the Chamber Marketing Committee
Read/Review local publications for Chamber Listings, Important Events, Information
Events: branding, planning, marketing, coordination, décor design.
-Work with Operations Manager to set up registration, especially when Constant Contact is involved.
Clerical/Correspondence:
Duties Delegated from President
Phone Reception/Email & Written Correspondence – inquiries, updates, etc.
Voice Mail & Fax Retrieval/Distribution
Support of Office Administrative Manager/Assistant:
Understanding of admin duties on Chamber Master database
Organization/Coordination with Ambassadors for Monthly Mixer
Assist Member Requests/Referrals
Attendance and Assistance at Required Staff Meetings/Mixers/Social Events
Membership: Understanding of membership levels and benefits, design new sales tools
Weekly Duties:
Read and respond to emails
Daily FB shares of 5 members of more
Weekly eblast-solicit and acquire advertisers for featured members slot
Design ads for upcoming publications (Quality, Score, Canyon Courier, Serenity)
Post Chamber Activities on social media both ad hoc and scheduled
Monthly Duties:
Chamber Newsletter
Attend Chamber events
Plan ahead/review marketing timelines for upcoming events
Quarterly updates category marketing brochures
