Wellington Lake is a privately owned recreation area and campground near Bailey, CO- (a little over an hour from Denver) where guests enjoy fishing, swimming, canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, and camping. This job opportunity is during our off season, so applicant will be expected to be able to complete a range of different tasks from outdoor work to checking in guests and running the office.

We are looking to hire friendly Seasonal Park Rangers for up to 40 hours per week to provide visitor services and patrol the campground, day use areas and trails, and help complete forestry work. It is the Rangers' duty to protect the park resources while educating and assisting the public. This is a great opportunity to gain skills.
Examples of Park Ranger responsibilities:
-Patrol the campground, day use areas, trails and property perimeter
-Enforce rules and regulations
-Provide information and education to guests
-Split and stack firewood
-Maintain campground by removing trash from sites and ash from fire rings
-Open and close the visitor center
-Check guests in for camping and day use
-Operate a cash register and account for daily sales
-Assist with special events
-Respond to emergencies
-Ability to safely fell and limb trees using a chainsaw.
-Knowledge of chainsaw cleaning and maintenance.
-Working 10-hour shifts of mostly physical work.
-Working in all types of weather conditions including rain, sleet, snow, etc.
-Working as a member of a team, with a strong emphasis on safety.
-Any knowledge or experience with machinery maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus.
*Hiring is contingent on successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
Pay: $16 + depending on experience
