A few weeks ago I posted a handout on the biological effects and benefits of laser therapy. This week I am posting a patient education video that will better explain how the laser works to get the incredible healing it does. I was introduced to laser therapy many years ago due to a non-union fracture in my left wrist that never healed. With my profession it was causing me a lot of pain and discomfort. I went to an orthopedic surgeon who referred me to a hand specialist who in turn told me there was nothing that could be done at that time. When I asked him what to do about the debilitating pain he told me to self-medicate. In talking to some other chiropractors I learned of one who was using laser therapy and getting some great results. So I phoned him, made an appointment and within about two weeks the pain was 90% better and I was able to start working out again. I was able to return to work very quickly as well, pain free. It really got me excited about owning a laser some day and being able to offer my patients the healing ability of a class IV high powered therapeutic laser.
