Anybody know where I can get some live cultures to start my own kefir? I can send away for some by mail, but would rather find some local if possible.

Can't you just buy some kefir at the store and propagate the cultures?

One of the practitioners at Taspen's sells kefir, my apologies I cannot recall her name at this moment. If you call Keith or Heather at Taspen's, I'm sure they'll be able to help you out! Here's all their contact info: <!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href=" 285bound.com/Forums/viewtopic.php?f=115&t=5055 " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">viewtopic.php?f=115&t=5055<!-- l -->

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
