We have only lived in Pine for one year. My husband has exhausted every procedure/meds for severe back pain. Got referral and had consult with a surgeon in Englewood. Last week, we received a call from the office needing to reschedule his next appointment with another partner, because Dr. Gallizzi had come into the practice and announced, "Today is my last day!" Needless to say, we were shocked that he could be so unprofessional and unstable! So we are starting at square one.
The procedure is not the old fusion method. We are looking for a doctor who has done a fellowship or been trained in med school to do Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery. If anyone knows of a good surgeon in this field, we would really appreciate a recommendation! Thank you!
Hello Pinelife and welcome to MMT, we're glad you're here! I'm sorry to hear about your husband; I have a friend who suffered severe back pain until he underwent some procedures last year. I asked him if he could send me his physician's name because he's raved about how much better he is today, and here it is:
Good luck and hope to see you joining us here more!
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
Both my sister and I had successful surgeries with Dr. John Paul Elliott. His offices are connected to Swedish Medical Center. Granted, both of ours were significant situations, but he may be able to help you as well.
