When it comes to Emergency Medical Services, most people think about physical injuries and illnesses. However, every year, Elk Creek Fire responds to many 911 calls related to mental health, self-harm, or suicide. Today is WORLD SUICIDE PREVENTION DAY, and we are sharing some resources for those dealing with suicidal thoughts or intentions as well as resources for you the “be the 1 to” help when you know someone else is struggling.
