Posted on: January 20, 2022 State Launches KN95 and Surgical-grade Mask Program: Masks Coming to Park County Next Week
Park County, Colo. – In response to Colorado’s ongoing efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and assist in the mitigation of virus spread, the Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHSEM) recently launched a statewide Mask Program to distribute KN95 and surgical grade masks for free at public libraries, fire stations, recreation centers, VFWs, YMCAs, and high traffic community centers.
While masks began to be available at locations across the state today, Park County currently does not have masks to distribute to the public and we request your patience as the state continues to roll out this new program and we await shipment.
Masks will be available in Park County by the end of next week at all four library branches including: Bailey, Fairplay, Guffey and Lake George, as well as fire stations throughout the county. Details will be announced as soon as they are available.
In the meantime, please visit

Recent updates to the CDC mask guidance states that properly fitted N95 and KN95 masks offer the most protection against COVID-19.
