Munchausen by Internet

What would you do if you found out someone you knew was faking an illness online, or even went as far as to fake their own death?

How would you deal with this person in the future?

That person is dead, hence no longer in existence. No communication needed.

I ask because friends on another forum were very close to this woman who supposedly died, and then her husband supposedly died two months later. Well, they're far from dead and were found out by one person - and several people who really respected and liked her now feel very hurt. I knew her, but not well enough to become deeply involved.

Consensus is that the person we all knew is indeed dead; we do not know this woman who faked her death.
