I wanted to bid on an item but am not willing to give you a $1.00 for the pleasure for bidding online.

Hope you can explain how this works or you will have lost a bid from me.

Sorry, I did not know there was a response on this.
In order for you to bid online we have to know the credit card you are using is valid. This is a one time charge when you sign up. After this you are eligible to bid in any of the online auctions on our site.
Surely you understand that we have to protect our sellers and will be able to collect money from the winning bidder.

We do not receive this dollar it goes to the server that handles our online auctions.
