Very nice Chickering Baby Grand Piano. The piano was manufactured in either 1942 or 1943.
Jonas Chickering & Sons were premier piano makers in their day, and specialized in "home-sized" pianos, which is the Baby Grand. Back in the late 1800's to early to mid-1900's Chickering was 2nd in sales nationally, exceeded by only Steinway. Many former Presidents have had Chickering pianos in the White House, so this piano is of very high quality. Structurally, this piano is very solid. The benchseat is included with the piano. And though this piano is now over 66 years old the finish on this piano, with the exception of a some normal wear and tear on the finish. The piano has been tuned within the last two years, but has not been played in the last year. It has beautiful sound.
