Question

This weather is playing hell with my gout (recently it has moved into left foot, before this year it was just in right foot), taking 300mg of Allopurinol, and of course pain killers.
Yes, staying away from food that cause uric acids...

I defer to the experts in this forum, however, I have seen my fair share of gout clients.

Aproach usually centers on kidney support, improving an altered PH, lots of clean h2o,
and decreasing inflammation that causes uric acid to elevate. And, as you said, avoid the food triggers: alchohol and high purine meats being the most critical.

Dark cherries have shown to have benefit as well.

TPP, yeah, just call anytime you have a few minutes and I wll explain further to you. Dr. T, we went with Zyto Elite 5.0. My wife has been using Zyto technology for years but had the lower end software, but now with the newer ( more expensive) software, it just has so many more capabilities. It's Heather...I apologize for taking so long to get back to you about your gout. I agree with Dr. T's suggestions for kidney support, decreasing inflammation, pH balancing, hydration (I recommend drinking 1/2 of your body weight in oz. per day) and avoiding the common food triggers. Adding fresh squeezed organic lemon juice in your water is great. I have pH strips and a chart that I give my clients so that we can start working on getting your pH balanced. Digestive enzymes are helpful for digestion and pH balancing. There are several supplements that are helpful to support the kidneys and everyone is different as to what their body prefers. I would also look at the liver and gallbladder. Pine essential oil is great to rub on the affected area. The best thing would be to stop in or call and we can go over the options.
