About Montessori

Montessori is a comprehensive educational approach from birth to adulthood based on the observation of children's needs in a variety of cultures all around the world.

The Montessori classroom environment contains specially designed manipulative "materials for development" that invite children to engage in learning activities of their own individual choice. Under the guidance of a trained teacher, children in a Montessori classroom learn by making discoveries with the materials, cultivating concentration, motivation, respect for themselves and others, and a love of learning.

The Montessori School of Conifer offers a highly personalized educational environment for preschoolers and kindergartners from 2.5 to 5 years old. We encourage and nurture the child’s natural love of learning, creativity, and independence. Our experienced staff and teachers are highly qualified, with extensive training in Montessori and Early Childhood methods and curriculum.

A Montessori-based environment is designed to meet the needs of the age ranges we serve, and educational materials are designed to fit a child's hand. We offer a variety of programs , including a Summer Program.
