2–3 mitigation project openings remaining for 2026

Howdy, neighbors! Hope everyone had an amazing Fourth of July!

Just a quick update from the Forestwerx team for our mountain community.

We currently have just 2–3 project openings remaining for 2026 and are now scheduling work into November.

At this time, we're focusing on larger forestry and wildfire mitigation projects (approximately 4–40 acres). We may have limited availability for a small number of defensible space projects later this year and into the winter of 2027.

We've been receiving daily requests from folks wanting defensible space work done in a quick timeframe, and while we wish we could take on every project ourselves, we simply don't have the capacity. To make sure no one is left without options, we've been connecting homeowners with several outstanding Evergreen- and Conifer-based forestry contractors we know and trust who may be able to complete projects sooner. Even if we're not the right fit for your timeline, we're always happy to help point you in the right direction. Our goal has always been to make sure our neighbors get quality forestry work, whether it's from us or another trusted local professional.

If you're planning a larger forestry or wildfire mitigation project (5–40 acres) this year, now is the time to reach out. I expect our 2026 schedule will be completely booked within the next few weeks.

We're also beginning to plan our 2027 project schedule, so if you're thinking about a larger project next year, we'd love to start that conversation now.
