It seems like there's a lot of families up here that like to hunt to fill the freezer, or have kids that love to experiment with bows and arrows and pellet guns. If you're one of them, you may like to consider getting involved in our local 4-H Shooting Sports Club. Our kids, 10 and 13 years old, love it. Bailey Mountain Cats 4-H Shooting Sports will be hosting an Open House at the Shawnee Community Center (on Hwy 285) on Saturday 12th November from 9-11am. Families with kids aged 8 and up who are interested in learning or improving their skills at Archery, Shotgun, Rifle, Black Powder and/or pistol are encouraged to come and see what 4-H has to offer. Or, if you are a seasoned adult who would like to volunteer your time with these kids, contact me at 303-916-0323 for more information.
