Children and teens half price at this year's Freedom Run 5K

Planning to walk or run in the July 4 Freedom Run 5K? Early registration has begun online at [url=http://www.mtevans.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;]www.mtevans.org[/url]. You can sign up and pay your registration fee now, and pick up your t-shirt, race bib and timing chip at Mt. Evans Home Health & Hospice (3081 Bergen Peak Dr., Evergreen) on July 3, or at the start line July 4.

The race, an Independence Day family tradition since 1982, starts at 8 a.m. at Evergreen Middle School and finishes with an awards ceremony and post-race party at Nick’s Pro Fitness. All proceeds benefit Mt. Evans. Brand new this year is the teen discount—children and youth 18 and under who register before the race pay only $15, or half the adult rate, to participate. The post-race party includes lots of fun activities for kids, including a bounce house and special awards.
