West Jefferson Elementary Kindergarten Registration runs January 22-28 for ½ day and the full day, tuition based class.
Students must be 5 on or before October 1st for the 2013-2014 school year.
Full-day Kindergarten tuition is $300.00 month. Placement in the ½ day program is guaranteed for students in the attendance area with a lottery for choice students. Placement in the full day program is based on a lottery of those registered by 4:00 on January 28th or later if space remains.
Before registering, information for students new to Jefferson County Public Schools must be entered online in Jeffco Connect. Parents without internet access, or those who prefer, can use a school computer or visit the public library.
After creating your student’s account in Jeffco Connect, come by the school to register your Kindergartner between 9:30 and 4:00 January 22-28th.

Kindergarteners who are outside West Jeff’s attendance area must be accepted under choice enrollment. Acceptance is based on space available and a lottery of those who complete the choice paperwork within the window of January 9th and 24th. Students who already have a sibling at the school will have priority. Students who reside in-district are accepted before out-of-district students.

First Round Choice Enrollment at West Jefferson Elementary for students who want to attend West Jefferson Elementary but live in another school’s boundaries takes place between Jan 9th-Jan. 24th 2013. Forms can be found on the West Jefferson Elementary website at [url=http://www.wjes.net" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;]http://www.wjes.net[/url] (click on the Registration tab) or in the front office.
Acceptance is based on space available within the grade level and a lottery of those applying by January 24th at 4:00 pm. Priority will be given to students who have a sibling already attending West Jefferson Elementary. Students who reside in-district are accepted before out-of-district students.
You will be notified by mail or phone by February 15th at the latest. We will try to notify everyone as soon as possible.
