Bluegrass and Folk Summer Camp for Grades 6-12: Here in Conifer!

Fireside FolkyGrass (June 12-16 2017)
A brand new summer camp program from Fireside Arts and Music right here in Conifer that focuses on Bluegrass and folk music!
FULL DAY CAMP - In the AM, students work on their specific instrument with one of our mentors from NYC, TX, or right here in Colorado!
In the afternoon, students get put into Ensembles of 3-4 to work up a tune or two for our final concert! The performance will take place on Friday evening after camp and the students will open up for two professional folk artists -- one national and one local!
PRE-REQs - Students must have knowledge of either violin or guitar to enroll in Fireside Folkygrass
Students will get to choose from either Fiddle, Guitar, Banjo, or Mandolin on day 1 of the camp and will work with our passionate mentors, Steven S Sellers (Denton, TX) Kendra Jo Brook (NYC) and Tyler Phillips (Denver), to become familiar with bluegrass and folk styles, scales, tunes, and culture!
