Here's what we've got coming up for the month of August at Conifer Library!

The Art House: 8/1, 8/15, 8/29, 6-7:30 pm- Get your art on at our ongoing open workshop. Not a Rembrandt? Not to worry because we invite all skill levels to learn how to better use the visual vocabulary of shape, value, color, line, texture and edges. Led by Evergreen artist Chris McAllister, we'll explore these concepts in still life, landscape, portrait and figure paintings. Bring in a project you’re already working on or join in on a group project. You're welcome to work in oil or acrylic paints; simply bring your own painting supplies. Our ongoing classes are designed for continuous learning in an open, individualized environment. New students are welcome at any time. Come paint the town, well, whatever color you want. Suitable for: Adults

National Coloring Book Day: 8/2, 3-5:30 pm- Unleash your creativity and celebrate National Coloring Book Day. Suitable for: All ages

Better Pet Parenting: 8/2, 6-8 pm- What can you expect as a new pet owner? How much time should you spend with a pet? How do you groom my new pet? What kind of sleeping space does your pet need? What type of exercise does or training does your new pet need? What type of food is best for my new pet? These questions and more will be answered. Suitable for: All ages
