Wed. 9/6/17, Conifer Meditation Group, 6:30 pm-8:00 pm - Take your mind to another place and find peace, happiness, and bliss. This local meditation group in the Conifer/Bailey/Evergreen area is open to anyone interested in meditating regularly in a group setting. No previous meditation experience is required. We don't focus on a particular meditation format, but instead sample a variety of methods as different group members lead a 20-30 minute group meditation at each gathering. Please bring a cushion, mat or pillow if you don't want to sit on a chair. Anyone present can start the session and awaken the group at the end. Suitable for: Teens & Adults
Sun. 9/10/17, LEGO Play and Build, 1:00pm-3:00pm - Calling all LEGO® fans! Builders of all ages are welcome to stick to the theme or build your own creation. What story will you tell? We provide the LEGO® bricks and LEGO DUPLO® for younger kiddos. Suitable for: All Ages
Tues. 9/12/17, The Art House, 6:00pm-7:30pm - Get your art on at our ongoing open workshop. Not a Rembrandt? Not to worry because we invite all skill levels to learn how to better use the visual vocabulary of shape, value, color, line, texture and edges. Led by Evergreen artist Chris McAllister, we'll explore these concepts in still life, landscape, portrait and figure paintings. Bring in a project you’re already working on or join in on a group project. You're welcome to work in oil or acrylic paints; simply bring your own painting supplies. Our ongoing classes are designed for continuous learning in an open, individualized environment. New students are welcome at any time. Come paint the town, well, whatever color you want. Wed. 9/20/17, Game On!, 3:00pm-5:00pm - Stop twiddling your thumbs and break the daily monotony and get your game on! We have games but encourage you to bring your own to challenge friends (and make new ones!). Suitable for: Teens
Sat. 9/23/17, Raise a Reader, 10:00am-2:00pm - Fun, free, and at your Library! It's easy to Raise a Reader. Simple and fun activities. Snacks. Prizes. Suitable for: Babies, toddlers, preschoolers and the whole family
