Here are the Top 10 "Must Knows" About the Dino Ridge Science Spelling Stomp:

9. $500 first prize; $100 second prize for teams.

8. Hot and cold appetizers, drinks, t-shirts for all participants.

7. Word lists already published -- survive the first three rounds by studying our 180-word study list!

6. It'll be at the local home of science, Denver Museum of Nature & Science, at 6 pm on Sunday, Oct. 1.

5. Popular team format allows groups of 2-4 to go for the glory. All ages: adults, kids, or mixed teams!

4. You can attend and cheer--and not spell--if you just want to root on your favorite team!

4. Steve Spangler, Denver's own science guru, will be on hand!

3. Both fun (buy backs/"mulligans", cash bar, science merriment) and competitive. Stare down the competition and laugh at the same time!

2. All money goes to support Dinosaur Ridge's science education and transportation programs.
