Here's what's going on at the Conifer Public Library this May. As the weather warms our attention turns to the outdoors! Break out the tackle box and come check out Fly Fishing 1.0 or drop by to see if the Lucky Day State Park Pass is available for check out!

Every Saturday in May - Family Time, 10:45 am - Everyone is invited for stories, singing, rhyming and dancing.

5/2- Conifer Meditation Group, 6:30 pm - Guide your mind to a place of peace, happiness, and bliss. The Conifer/Bailey/Evergreen area meditation group is open to anyone interested in meditating regularly in a group setting. No previous meditation experience is required. We don't focus on a particular meditation format, but instead sample a variety of methods as different group members lead a 20-30 minute group meditation at each gathering. Please bring a cushion, mat or pillow if you don't care to sit on a chair. Anyone present can start the session and awaken the group at the end.
Held on the first and third Wednesday of the month.

5/5 – Make Something: Quilling – rescheduled from Feb., 1:00 pm - Find a new outlet for your creativity and make something at the library! Each session features a different craft and all materials provided. Limit 20.
Come make a quilled card!

5/8 - The Art House, 6:00 pm - Paint the town any color you'd like with Evergreen artist Chris McAllister. He'll help you discover how to better use the visual vocabulary of shape, value, color, line, texture and edges. Explore these concepts in still life, landscape, portrait and figure paintings. Not an artist? No worries. All skill levels are welcome to learn. Bring in a project you're already working on or join a group project. Work in oil or acrylic paints, just bring your own painting supplies. Our ongoing classes are designed for continuous learning in an open, individualized environment. New students are welcome any time.

5/12 – Fly Fishing 1.0, 1:30 pm - Fly fishing is often called the "quiet sport". If you've ever wanted to give it a try and learn more, here's your chance. Discuss fly fishing basics, equipment, techniques, essential knot tying, casting and where to find local fisheries. If you have a fly rod, bring it and we'll practice outside.

5/13 - LEGO® Play & Build, 1:00 pm - Calling all LEGO® fans! Builders of all ages are welcome to build your own creation. What story will you tell? We provide the LEGO® bricks and LEGO DUPLO® for younger kiddos.

5/16 - Conifer Meditation Group, 6:30 pm

5/22 - Book Group, 6:30 pm - Discuss great reads. New members always welcome! Tonight we discuss H Is for Hawk by Helen MacDonald.

We are located inside Conifer High School and we're open every day!
