The holiday weekend is upon us! The library will be closed Labor Day on Monday, September 3 but will be open Saturday and Sunday. Take a break from the traffic and come stop in to see what we have to offer! Coming up this month:

Every Saturday in September - Family Time, 10:45 am - Everyone is invited for stories, singing, rhyming and dancing.

9/5- Conifer Meditation Group, 6:30 pm - Guide your mind to a place of peace, happiness, and bliss. The Conifer/Bailey/Evergreen area meditation group is open to anyone interested in meditating regularly in a group setting. No previous meditation experience is required. We don't focus on a particular meditation format, but instead sample a variety of methods as different group members lead a 20-30 minute group meditation at each gathering. Please bring a cushion, mat or pillow if you don't care to sit on a chair. Anyone present can start the session and awaken the group at the end.
Held on the first and third Wednesday of the month.

9/8 – 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Party, 11:30 am - Celebrate 1000 Books Before Kindergarten! Discover the fun at special parties and events held at each Library location. Whether you've just finished 1000 Books or you're ready to start, everyone is welcome!
Hunk-Ta-Bunk Show
Silliness is guaranteed at the Hunk-Ta-Bunk-Ta show. This unique musical experience encourages children to play along as they engage with and express themselves through song, dance, and play with original and traditional songs.
Crafts, snacks and extra activities add to the fun.

9/9 - LEGO® Play & Build, 1:00 pm - Calling all LEGO® fans! Builders of all ages are welcome to build your own creation. What story will you tell? We provide the LEGO® bricks and LEGO DUPLO® for younger kiddos.

9/11 - The Art House, 6:00 pm - Paint the town any color you'd like with Evergreen artist Chris McAllister. He'll help you discover how to better use the visual vocabulary of shape, value, color, line, texture and edges. Explore these concepts in still life, landscape, portrait and figure paintings. Not an artist? No worries. All skill levels are welcome to learn. Bring in a project you're already working on or join a group project. Work in oil or acrylic paints, just bring your own painting supplies. Our ongoing classes are designed for continuous learning in an open, individualized environment. New students are welcome any time.

9/15 – Discovery Play, 11:30 am- Let's play! Families are welcome to enjoy songs, stories and explore hands-on fun with STEM skills.
