Every Saturday at 10:45 am – Family Story Time

7/9 – The Art House, 6:00 pm
Evergreen artist Chris McAllister helps you discover how to better use the visual vocabulary of shape, value, color, line, texture and edges. Explore these concepts in still life, landscape, portrait and figure paintings. All skill levels are welcome. Bring in a project you’re already working on or join a group project. A limited amount of extra supplies is available, so please bring your own oil or acrylic paint supplies. New students welcome.

7/11 – Solar Printing for teens and tweens, 3:00 pm
Try your hand at cyanotype and make amazing prints using the power of the sun and a little creativity. Bring items you think will make great shadows or maybe some flattened botanicals from a hike. Materials provided.

7/12 – Space Junk, 2:30 pm
Nearly 60 years of space exploration has left a lot of junk in space! Create a sculpture to show how we need sustainable solutions for junk in space and here on Earth. Bring cool recyclables or use ours to create something amazing out of "junk."

7/13 – MUFON: Colorado’s Skinwalker Ranch, 3:00 pm
There’s is a town in Colorado that’s been the location of several unusual events in the 1970’s, including cattle mutilations, strange lights, unusual sounds and paranormal activity. Take a close personal look into this strange activity from a researcher with a personal connection to the area. Hear our presenter’s astonishing discoveries found through nearly a decade of research and interviews.

7/14 – LEGO® Play & Build, 1:00 pm
Calling all LEGO® fans! Builders of all ages are welcome to drop in and build their own creations. What story will you tell? We provide the LEGO® bricks and LEGO DUPLO® for younger kids.

7/16 – Universe of Surprise with Magic Rob, 5:30 pm
Anything goes during this hilarious and astonishing show. Rob teaches you amazing magic tricks, but if he goofs up you may need to use your own magic to help him out! Stunning visual magic, audience participation and live pets make this one of the unforgettable highlights of the summer.

7/18 – Super Galaxy Jars, 6:00 pm
Create your own bit of outer space! Carry around shiny stars and galaxies in a portable jar. All materials provided. Dress for the mess.

7/20 – Discovery Play, 11:30 am
Let's play! Build STEM skills as you enjoy songs, stories and hands-on fun with your family. Keep the fun going with 1000 Books Before Kindergarten! Get your child ready to read by sharing books together. Read anything, even the same story over and over!

7/20 – Cosmic Henna, 1:00 pm
Tap into the energy of the cosmos and decorate yourself with the ancient art of henna. Create your own design or use one of our templates. Suitable for grades 6- 12. Registration is required.

7/21 – Sun Printing for adults, 1:00 pm
Try your hand at cyanotype and create beautiful patterns on sun paper. Supplies are provided, but bring objects like keys, flattened botanicals or whatever else you think would make a fun print!

7/23 – Mission to Mars, 3:00 pm/4:00 pm/5:00 pm (three sessions)
Blast off on a journey of discovery and make room for a space station orbiting Mars. Use teamwork, critical thinking and creativity to solve problems and design the future of space travel. Your Mars-mission takes science to a new stratosphere, as human ingenuity and the universe inspire junior astronauts. Presented by the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.

7/23 – The Art House, 6:00 pm

7/30 – Prize-Winning Book Group, 6:30 pm
