Pit Band/Orchestra for the Theatre Intensive

The Venue Theater, in a partnership with Elk Creek Music Studios, is hosting a Stage Orchestra Intensive for band and orchestra students. This is your opportunity to perform in a Broadway pit orchestra. Intermediate and Advanced Musicians.
June 1–4, June 7–11, 12:00–2:00pm
Cost: $250


Playwrighting and Monologue Performance
Write your own monologues and scenes for performance and work on monologues from your favorite plays as well. Ages 13-18.
June 14—18 (Performance), 4:00–5:15pm
Cost $100


Improv!
Learn basic Improv techniques , play games and perform for a live audience! Ages 13-18.
June 14—18 (Performance), 5:30–7:00pm
Cost $100


Amazing Opportunity!

Nerve Project Theatre Company
Artist in residence–artistic and professional enrichment intensive.

Who: Nerve Project Theatre Company-Joe Veale, Jenna Haimes, David McCall, Natalie Reigel, Dax Dupuy, Samuel Floyd.
What: NPTC will conduct a two-week Artistic Enrichment and Education camp at the Venue Theatre!
August 2–6, 9–12 with evening performance. Middle School will be performing a truncated version of the musical "13," and High School will be performing a truncated version of "Mean Girls."

Middle School: 11:00am–2:00pm
High School: 3:00–6:00pm

Joint performance 8/12 at 7:30
Cost $425

NPTC will select group songs and scenes from Contemporary MT repertoire (Dear Evan Hansen, Greatest Showman, etc.), building up to a performance at the end of the week(s). All students will be required to engage in artistic work that brings them to the edge of their comfort zone, and practice bravery in their artistic endeavors.

While building the performance of Contemporary Repertoire, NPTC will teach and workshop the following:

Voice and Speech for the Actor
Body and Movement for the Actor
Dance Choreography
Musical Theatre Writing
Audition Technique
Rehearsal Technique
Artistic Bravery
Improv Techniques
