We are so excited to be running Drama Camp again this summer at the Evergreen Players and look forward to seeing both new and familiar faces as we celebrate our love of theater! We are planning camp with the utmost safety in mind and will be keeping ourselves updated on the ever-changing covid protocols and following all camp guidelines from the state and county.

Classes:

Age 5-7:
Storybook Theater: Where the Wild Things Are
July 5-9th or July 12-16, 9am-12pm
$150
Bring the classic story "Where the Wild Things Are" to life this summer. This fun-filled session includes lots of theater games, colorful costumes, fun make-up, lights, props, sets, and all the fun things that come with putting on a show! The session ends in a performance for family and friends!

Age 8-11:
Galactic Shakespeare: The Mandalorian
July 5-9, 9am-3pm

Students in this session put together a short production in just one week! From reading a script, auditioning, rehearsals, costumes, props, sets and a final performance this week is packed with fun and excitement!
Join us as we bring Star Wars Shakespeare back to the stage, this year we'll be diving into the world of The Mandalorian. We had so much fun bringing these classic stories to life the last three years - join us again this year for even more fun. Ends in a performance for families and friends!

Age 8-11:
Musical Intensive: Willy Wonka
July 5-9, 9am-3pm

We're teaming up with the Evergreen Children's Chorale to bring this session to you this summer! Students will learn music and choreography to a fan-favorite musical "Willy Wonka"! Ends in a performance for families and friends!

Age 8-11:
Two Week Play: "The Odyssey"
July 12-23, 9am-3pm, age 8-11

Students in this session will put on a full production in the span of two weeks that will include everything from auditions to rehearsals and a final performance on stage with lights, sound, costumes, props, and more! Age 12-18
Musical Theater Intensive: Beetlejuice
July 5-16, 9am-3pm

Bring songs from the Broadway hit 'Beetlejuice' to life on stage this summer! Students will spend two weeks learning music, choreography, and staging for their final performance at the end of the session. This session will be both fun and challenging for budding performers.

Improv
July 19-23, 9am-3pm, age 12-18

Improvisational fun! In this session, students will learn everything from the basic rules of improv to more advanced techniques. With a structure based around games and play, this session focuses on teamwork, listening to each other, and thinking creatively on your feet!

Tech Theater
Ages 8+

July 12-16 or July 19-23, 9am-3pm
Learn behind the scenes of theater! Students will learn about sound and lighting design, set design, props, costumes, and more. At the end of the week, students will run tech for class performances.

Drama Camp is designed for boys and girls ages 5-18 to experience performing in our Center Stage theater beautifully nestled in the foothills. Located only 30 minutes from downtown Denver! Our campers join us from throughout the front range and Denver Metro areas and travel from as far as Burlington and Steamboat Springs!
