Rockscaling on US 285 south of C-470 (Turkey Creek Canyon) tomorrow from 9A-3P. Expect 20 min. delays. Alternate routes advised.

US 285 Eastbound / Westbound Between CO 8 (Morrison Road) and C-470 (Milemarker 249-250) (through January 2012)9:00am-3:00pm WE and TH Intermittent full closures of the highway for rock scaling operations. 20 minute delays expected throughout the day. Westbound US 285 Detour: Take C-470 north/west to State Highway (SH) 8. Take SH 8 west and south through Morrison back to southbound US 285. Eastbound US 285 Detour: Take SH 8 north through the Town of Morrison and then east on SH 8 to C-470. Take C-470 south/east back to US 285.

Crews knock down loose rock on US 285 just west of C-470 today. About 80 tons of rock was brought down in the mitigation effort.

The rockfall mitigation work is complete on US 285 just west of C-470. CDOT would like to thank motorists for their patience.
