Mostly sunny but breezy at times today into Thursday across our foothills. Next system from the Pacific Northwest will move across CO Thursday night into Friday, similar to the system that moved through Tuesday of this week. Weak upper trough anbd associated cold front will bring snow to the mountains west of the Divide Thursday afternoon and night, and then after cold front passes Friday morning some uplsope flow develops along the Front Range which looks to bring light snow to the foothills during the day on Friday. Snow will also continue Friday in the soutwest and central mountains. Currently looks like a dusting to an inch or two for most foothill areas and the Palmer Divide, and slightly less along the Urban Corridor. Snow should end by Friday evening.
Dry, warmer and breezy for this coming weekend across CO. Some mountain snow possible Monday west of the Divide. Next chance for snow in our foothills will be next Wednesday night into Thursday as another weak upper trough moves across the state. After that, long range models move the upper ridge from the eastern Pacific into the Inter-Mountain West, which would keep all storms north and east of CO for a while, so we could see an extended dry spell if that pattern persists. This would also bring very cold temps and snow to the Great Lakes and Northeast.
