The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the eastern plains including Central and East Adams and Arapahoe counties until late Friday night.

Evergreen, 19 inches, 9:23 a.m.
Morrison, 16.3 inches, 9:30 a.m.

WILL CONTINUE PRODUCING SNOW ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA TONIGHT INTO
EARLY SATURDAY MORNING.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM MST
SATURDAY...

* TIMING...SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH TONIGHT...WITH THE SNOW
HEAVY AT TIMES THROUGH MIDNIGHT OVER THE FRONT RANGE FOOTHILLS. THE SNOW
WILL DECREASE BY SATURDAY MORNING.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 6
INCHES TONIGHT...WITH TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS FOR THE FOOTHILLS AND
THE MOUNTAINS EAST OF THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE OF 24 TO 48
INCHES. FOR THE MOUNTAINS WEST OF THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE... SNOW
AMOUNTS WILL BE MUCH LESS WITH ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO

I-70 is now completely open in both directions from Airpark Rd - Limon. Westbound remains closed at the Kansas state line but is expected to reopen soon.
