The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has received the remains of two persons from the Jefferson County Lower North Fork Fire area.
The remains are those of Sam Lamar Lucas, age 77, and Linda M. Lucas, age 76. The couple has been identified as husband and wife. They were found within a single family dwelling in an area that is presently restricted to official traffic only.
The death of these persons remains under investigation, and a final report is not expected for several weeks.
