July 20, 2012 - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - CLEAR CREEK COUNTY – State Highway 5 – the Mount Evans Highway – will be temporarily closed to traffic for a bike race tomorrow.
Beginning at 8:30 tomorrow morning and continuing until 2 p.m., the Mount Evans Highway will be closed between Echo Lake and the summit to maintain safety for race participants and spectators.
In addition, drivers should expect significant bike traffic on southbound State Highway 103, between 7:30 a.m. and noon, as cyclists’ travel up from Idaho Springs to Echo Lake.
