West Jeff Middle Evacuated

West Jeff Middle being evacd due to an unstable item in the chem lab. Students moved to football field for safety. #JCSO bomb sqd respd.

The kids were apparently put on buses and left there. They will be heading over to the High School soon, per normal schedule.

According to the High Timber Times:

West Jefferson Middle School has been evacuated after an unlabeled chemical bottle was found inside the school. Students have been transported by bus to Conifer High School. All staff and students are safe. Evergreen Fire Dept. and Jefferson/Adams County Hazmat teams are looking into the situation. Jeffco Schools doesn't believe the situation is dangerous and that school should be open tomorrow.

West Jefferson Middle School will be open tomorrow.
