We were a little surprised too, thought maybe they'd just continued the one that had been put into effect last week that was supposed to end last Saturday as we hadn't seen a notification that a new one had been put into place since then.
We have a burn permit so even if we are only going to use the outdoor patio pit we call to let them know.
When there is a ban I also call to let them know when I use the smoker. They tell me I don't need to but we have had people stop in front of the house a little freaked out when it is kicking up the smoke. Most times if I see them I walk out on the deck so they know there is someone there tending to it.
