This may tie up traffic.

Semi went through guard rail... 18 wheeler... 20-40 feet down embankment... rolled once... north bound 285 between Pine (Junction?) and Conifer... reported near MM 231... reporting person can't see truck from road. So... exact location is not confirmed as of yet... but you can probably expect delays somewhere.

Elk Creek on scene... medical and fire... reporting person says injuries.

Closing northbound 285 at that location... northbound going to be closed for quite a while... one lane open southbound.

Northbound U.S. 285 is closed, and only one lane of southbound U.S. 285 is open after a deadly crash Monday morning.

The Colorado State Patrol told 7NEWS the driver of a truck hit the guardrail and went over an embankment near mile marker 231, near Shaffers Crossing.

The driver of the truck was killed, according to Colorado State Patrol spokesman Nate Reid. There were no passengers.

Thanks Walter.
Still a lot of activity along the roadway at 5:15 on my way home. One lane was still closed with all sorts of emergency and recovery vehicles.
