There is a Winter Weather Advisory in effect for the Lakewood area until 9am today. The National Weather Service is also asking for snowfall reports, if you'd like to let them know yours, either by posting on their Facebook page , their Twitter account , or emailing them at This email address is being protected from spambots. For today and tonight:
Snow showers will continue to decrease from north to south across
the Front Range foothills, Denver metro area, and Palmer Divide
through the mid morning hours. Additional accumulations will be
less than an inch in most areas, but hazardous road conditions
will remain in place with icy and snowpacked roads.

In the mountains, strong and gusty winds will continue through
tonight. Winds will gust to between 50 and 70 mph above
timberline. Light snow will also develop in the mountains toward
midnight with 1 to 3 inches of snow by daybreak Monday. The
heaviest amounts can be expected in the mountains from Rabbit Ears
Pass northward to the Wyoming border.

For Monday through Saturday:
Breezy and warmer weather is expected Monday and Tuesday with
periods of light snow in the mountains. Mountain areas could pick
up between 3 and 8 inches of new snow between Monday and Tuesday.
The windiest areas will be above timberline in the mountains and
over the foothills. Temperatures on the plains will be
springlike, in the upper 50s and lower 60s.

Cooler weather is expected on Wednesday as a cold front moves
into the state and an upper level disturbance crosses the state.
The mountains and plains will also have a chance of snow. Dry and
warm weather will develop across the state Thursday through
Saturday as a strong ridge builds over the Great Basin, cutting
off the flow of moisture into the region.

Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
However, any reports of snowfall would be appreciated.
