Per @efr_co: Foothills Fire Responding with Multiple agencies on reported 20 car pile up I-70 at MP. 254-to 257. Several injuries reported.

@efr_co: Foothills , Golden, Genesee, Evergreen, Highland Rescue all responding multi- car crash. Report of extreme ice on I-70 MP. 253 to 260.

CSP and CDOT are trying to clear the area and get cars thinned out so they can re-open. One patient extricated from vehicle.

Closure is officially from Genesee to Morrison Road (Milemarker 256-260)
There is no estimated time of reopening.

Starting to clear cars, some are damaged so badly that they won't run to keep heat on for passengers.

Current CDOT plans are to send 3 plows at once in about 30 minutes. All vehicles should sufficiently be cleared by then and out of the way for the plows to get through.
