Per CDOT: Rock Work, US 285 Southbound Turkey Creek Canyon Rd (Milemarker 244)

Rockfall mitigation beginning Monday, May 18 and continuing Monday - Friday approximately 7AM-3:30PM daily until work is complete. 20+ minute traffic stops will occur. Restriction will begin May 18th, 2015 at 6:00am.

Rock work on U.S. 285 will cause slowdowns

The Colorado Department of Transportation has started work to remove rocks and debris from a hillside as part of a slope repair on Highway 285, northeast of Conifer.

Crews should be off the road Friday for Memorial Day weekend.

In addition to traffic stops, the right lane will remain closed during work hours and the right shoulder will be closed twenty-four hours a day for the duration of the project.

The project is expected to be done Friday, May 29.

Crews will break on Friday at noon until Tuesday morning to avoid jams with the influx of motorists over Memorial Day weekend.
