Upper level low currently rolling some dice near Las Vegas this morning and will slowly move northeast over the next 24-36 hours. Band of precip is curreently over eastern UT and western CO and will move east during the day. Looks like precip will hold off until after Noon across eastern CO today, so get all your outdoor activities in soon. Showers and thunderstorms will move into eastern CO this afternoon and evening, with some possibly becoming severe with large hail, heavy rain and a few isolated tornadoes. Precip could persist through midnight then diminish.

For Sunday, primary activity will be east of the Divide with more showers and thunderstorms Sunday afternoon and evening, and more chances for severe thunderstorms along and east of I-25. Rainfall amounts each day this weekend will rnage from 0.10 to 1.0 inches, possible more under heavier thunderstorms. Localized flooding could be an issue in prone areas.

We will see some drying Monday, but expect a few more showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening hours. Tuesday looks like the dry day of the week, when temps will rise well above seasonal norms.

Models then suggest precip chances return next Wednesday through next weekend. Best precip chances look to be next Thursday and Friday, with more isolated activity next weekend.
